Meet Jeff King
Jeff graduated from Union High school in east central Indiana, in 1979. He attended Ball State University in 1980 – 1981 studying Meteorology.
From 1981 to 1985 Jeff served in the United States Air Force in the Entomology (the study of insects) department. He successfully graduated from Entomology Tech School and served at Beale Air Force Base in Marysville, California. His duties included insect, rodent, and nuisance wild animal pest control at base housing and military buildings, as well as herbicide applications & weed control to over 100 square mile base landscape (including the base golf course).
After completing his military service, Jeff returned to his home state of Indiana, applied and successfully tested for his state licensing in Pest Control. He was employed by Pest Doctor Systems for 13 years expanding his experience in commercial pest control, while increasing residential pest control experience. He began as a Route Technician, advancing to Branch Manager, Corporate Training Director and Corporate Director of Pest Control Operations for the food service division.
Jeff realized the American Dream of owning his own business by opening ABES Pest Control, as he relocated his family’s home to Northern Kentucky in 1999. Jeff and his service technicians are licensed, certified, and insured for pest control operations in Kentucky, Ohio & Indiana.
Jeff is a family man with many interests including, golf, baseball, antiques, playing drums and enjoys good music. He likes to give his time & expertise in helping military veterans. The National Organization of “Homes for Our Troops” requested help in a home building project. The recipient was Sergeant Chase Matthews, a disabled veteran returning home from active duty. The home would be built near Eddyville in Western Kentucky. The 4 hour distance was never a question. Jeff and ABES Pest Control along with a BASF product donation, provided a termite treatment and lifetime warranty for the home using Termidor Termiticide.
Copies of the thank you letters received from the local American Legion and from the Chase Mathews family can be viewed on the "Meet Us" page.
“Jeff is a shining example of America’s son and I’m very proud to call him my friend”.
